Lynnsey & Marcos
An amazing destination wedding to finish out the 2024 year! Lynnsey and Marcos are from California and chose to get married at The Ledges Wedding and Events venue in St. George, Utah on October 26, 2024. Their wedding was absolutely stunning and could not have been timed better! It snowed in Cedar City just a couple days before this incredibly warm, sunny day. It also rained a day or two later. The 26th was nothing more than perfection though, which allowed them to enjoy dancing the night away!
We started off in this gorgeous bridal suite, at an Airbnb, that was close to the venue!
We spent the remainder of the day at the venue, where the Ceremony was arranged against the stunning backdrop of St. George's red cliffs!
Weddings are incredible to witness. There are so many different traditions and cultures that I get to capture. I love that every couple has a chance to make their day their own!
They had an incredible ceremony! The colors Lynnsey chose (dusty blue, greens, and greys) looked beautiful against the stunning backdrop! After the ceremony, I like to give my couples a few minutes to talk with their wedding party, get a drink, and then move into the group photos.
Jumping right into the group photos allows little time for people to leave. These might be some of the most important pictures to some, and when one person is missing, it can change everything. We can capture these portraits and still have time for an intimate session between the beautiful couple!
We, of course, cannot forget about the beautiful little details of the bride and groom!
Toasts are a great way to still get photos during the dinner. Not very many people want pictures of them eating, but when you have toasts, you get to listen to amazing stories, while eating delicious food, and still add to your gallery!
I have been to many different weddings and the order of events varies. In the case of L + M they chose to cut their cake first, which gave the culinary team time to cut the rest of the cake while they did their first dance. They did not get dirty while eating their cake, so dancing after made sense. I also love that they gave me their list of events in order, so I knew where to move my lights, and when. As you plan out your reception, be sure to give extra thought to these things.
L + M had a beautiful first dance! They wanted to spend time dancing with friends after, but left plenty of time in between their first dance as husband and wife, and the party to take photos in a photobooth!
In the blink of an eye, the night came to an end, and L + M were getting ready to exit! Sparkler exits have extra precautions and can take time to set up. This allowed time for Lynnsey and Marcos to do a final dance, with just the two of them, no guests. It's safe to say, this was incredible thing to witness, and a few tears were shed by the end.
I don't typically add so many of the exit, however, this one kind of called for it... The sparklers didn't go out by the time they walked to the end of the line, so their friends and family convinced them to run back to the doors and go again. They came back through one more time, running rather than walking like their first time.
Ending in laughter, it was the perfect conclusion to the last wedding of the season. Thank you, Lynnsey and Marcos; your wedding gave me life! Here's to your happily ever after!
